Operating Stand OS-1

The Rex Durometer OS-1 Operating Stand is the ideal tool for repetitive or lab-type testing for users who must test either very large specimens, or test in a number of different durometer scales. The Rex OS-1 Operating Stand, used in conjunction with a Rex durometer eliminates the operator error sometimes associated with shop floor durometer testing. The stand features a floating pin and includes the proper load weights required for testing in durometer scales (A, B, C, D, DO, O, OO, and OOO), as noted in ASTM D2240. The OS-1 can accommodate specimens varying in size from a ¼: to 10 inches thick. (custom stands for testing larger specimens available)

Features:

  • Eliminates operator error in ALL durometer scales (except M)
  • Can be used with models H-1000, 1600, 1700, 2000 and digital models
  • Stainless steel and anodized aluminum construction
  • Large size: 23" high x 8" wide
  • Made in the USA

Operating Stand OS-2 for types A, B and O

Rex Gauge Co. introduces the OS-2 compact operating stand for durometers in the A, B and O scales. The stand, used in conjunction with a Rex Durometer, eliminates the operator error sometimes associated with shop floor durometer testing. The stand features a load weight for the proper testing pressure as noted in ASTM D2240, and a quick-lock column for easy adjustment. It can be used with either the provided specimen holder or the optional Rex O.R.F.-1 O-Ring Fixturing Set (sold separately).

  • Elimates operator error in the A, B, and O scales
  • Can be used with any model Rex Durometer except the 1500
  • Stainless steel and anodized aluminum construction
  • Compact size - 13" high x 6" wide
  • Total Weight approximately 9 lbs.
  • Made in the U.S.A.

Operating Stand OS-3

  • Durable, compact and lightweight
  • Required for the operation of Type M durometers per ASTM D2240
  • Adjustable pneumatic dampening (controlled rate of descent)
  • O-Ring fixture available (ORF-1)
  • Custom fixturing also available
  • Made in the U.S.A.

Type M Durometer

  • Used to check very thin materials (as thin as .050")
  • Available in analog or digital models (1600 or DD3)
  • Model DD-3 features RS232 data output for computer compatibility
  • Software available
  • Gauges sold separately

Operating Stand OS-4 for types OO, OOO

Operating Stand OS-2H

The OS-2H and OS-4H offer all of the features of the standard Rex OS-2 and OS-4 stands, plus a dampening feature. The dampener lowers the durometer at the same rate for each test, resulting in superior repeatability for all durometer tests (especially in the sensitive OO and M). The OS-2H can be used for A, B and O scale durometers, the OS-4H is for use with the M, OO and OOO scales.

Operating Stand OS-4H

The OS-2H and OS-4H offer all of the features of the standard Rex OS-2 and OS-4 stands, plus a dampening feature. The dampener lowers the durometer at the same rate for each test, resulting in superior repeatability for all durometer tests (especially in the sensitive OO and M). The OS-2H can be used for A, B and O scale durometers, the OS-4H is for use with the M, OO and OOO scales.

Bowling Test Fixture

The OS-5 Bowling Ball Test Fixture was designed for bowlers and pro shops that wanted an alternative to large, expensive test stands. Because of its small size and light weight the OS-5 is a truly portable instrument. The OS-5 positions any Rex type "D" durometer perpendicular to the ball for accurate and easy testing, thus minimizing the potential for human error.

Bowling Operating Stand

The Rex Durometer Operating Stand for Bowling Balls is designed to give accurate, fast and repeatable durometer readings. It simplifies and automates the procedure, thus minimizing the amount of time necessary to take large numbers of durometer readings. It eliminates the possibility of human error in taking durometer readings and works on the constant load principle. The stand is designed to insure that the axis of the durometer is in perfect alignment with the axis of the bowling ball. The durometer is lowered smoothly, by using a lever, into the surface of the bowling ball to produce a perfect reading every time. Features:

  • Throat Depth: 4.5"
  • Throat Height: 0 to 12" Max.
  • Net Weight: app. 40 lbs.
  • Shipping Weight: app. 70 lbs.
